When you submit an upload, a window appears headed Payment Authorization — Review your order and authorize payment to proceed with upload.
If your account is on the beta programme you will see a different, no-charge screen instead. See Beta pilot accounts.
The left side: your order
Your project, the number of images, the date range, the base cost, the per-image processing cost with the arithmetic shown, and the total.
Check the image count and the date range. If either is not what you expected, cancel and look at your photos before paying — see Upload photos in your browser.
The right side: your card
Saved cards are listed as rows you can pick — visa •••• 4242, Expires 5/2029, with a Default badge on your usual one. There is also a Use a new card row that opens the card form.
Save this card for future use is ticked by default. Leave it ticked and your next upload is a single click.
Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
Approve it
Click Pay $X & Upload. You will see Payment authorized! Confirming payment… then Payment confirmed! Starting upload…, and the upload begins.
At the same moment the bunk outline window opens on top, so you can do that setup while the files go up — see Outline your feed bunk.
Paying from the desktop app
The Compressor shows the same figure inline — 19,847 images — $169.85 will be pre-authorized on VISA ••4242 — and a saved card is one click.
If you need a new card, or your bank asks for extra verification, the app opens your browser at a page headed Authorize payment, already signed in. Complete it there and you will see Payment confirmed — You can return to the desktop app — the upload continues automatically.
If confirmation is slow
After about 25 seconds you may see:
Payment is taking a little longer than usual to confirm. We’re still checking — please keep this page open.
Keep the page open. It usually resolves.
If it eventually gives up:
We’re still confirming your payment and couldn’t start the upload yet. Your selected files aren’t lost — once payment clears you can finish this upload anytime from your Projects list (look for “Resume payment”). Contact support if this keeps happening.
Nothing is lost. Your project is waiting under Projects with a Resume payment button — see Resume or re-upload a batch.
If you cancel
Cancelling the payment cancels the upload — Payment authorization is required to upload files. The project stays on your account and you can finish it later.
Common problems
The card was declined. Try another card, or check with your bank — pre-authorization holds for larger amounts are sometimes flagged.
“Payment system not configured” or “Payment authorization not ready”. A loading or configuration problem rather than anything to do with your card. Refresh and try again; email support if it persists.
You were charged but the upload did not start. Do not pay again. Check Projects for a Resume payment button, and email [email protected] with the project name — we can see the payment and sort it out.
